Traumatic experiences for children are not rare. Often, children who have experienced this kind of upbringing will have a very hard time looking out at the world and thinking that there are loving, trusting people. How is it, then, that we are going to introduce them to a loving and trusting God? How can we make the gospel accessible and welcoming to all? By being competently compassionate.
